After the calculations of KS and ZS streams, we analyzed the functioning of the existing protection scheme in network and island operation and made the necessary changes to the parameters to ensure selectivity. Projections for the future suggest that these will continue to grow. The study analyses the dynamic response of static synchronous series compensator (SSSC) to interference and other transmission network events. It is based on a numerical simulation of the Slovenian electric power system (EES) included in the ENTSO-E network of continental Europe.
