In January 2014 he received Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Ja\u00e9n, Spain. He was also visiting researcher at the University of Aalborg, Denmark. In the period from April to June 2014, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Laboratory of electric power supply, at the Department of Power Systems and Devices at Faculty of electrical engineering, University of Ljubljana, where he performed a study of the control systems of power under the supervision of prof. dr. Rafael Mihalic.
